I can’t say it more plainly:
Donald Trump is handing the United States government over to Big Business.
Just look at the latest batch of CEOs and corporate shills he’s named to run key agencies and departments:
Scott Pruitt, Environmental Protection Agency
Pruitt, a proud climate change denier, spent the past few years leading what The New York Times called an “unprecedented, secretive alliance” between state attorneys general and fossil fuel companies to attack modest clean energy initiatives. He was recommended to Trump by an oil tycoon who stands to make gazillions if the agency stops actually, you know, protecting the environment.
Steven Mnuchin, Treasury Department
Once again, an ex-Goldman Sachs executive would hold our nation’s top economic policymaking position. Mnuchin is exactly the choice one would expect if Trump is forging a plutocratic alliance with Wall Street, casting aside the lessons of the 2008 financial crisis and sacrificing hardworking Americans to the boundless greed of the Big Banks.
Linda McMahon, Small Business Administration
McMahon made her fortune in professional wrestling — as an executive of a company currently valued at $1.5 billion. Do you think the fact that she contributed at least $6.5 million toward getting Trump elected has anything to do with her appointment?
Trump’s campaign boasts to “drain the swamp” are turning out to be faker than pro wrestling.
Tell Trump: Giving key government jobs to CEOs, corporate shills and campaign contributors is the very definition of corruption.
Thank you for taking action to put Trump’s corruption in a headlock.
